TREC uses your criminal history check to ensure you meet the qualifications for “honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity”.
We recommend waiting until after TREC approves your initial license application before you schedule your fingerprint appointment.
All fingerprints must be taken at a MorphoTrust location.
The fingerprinting fee is $38.25 and it is paid directly to MorphoTrust.
Your fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the FBI for a criminal history check.
