Chris Miao, Esq., is a managing partner at the Law Office of Lee & Miao, PLLC. Chris’s areas of practice include real estate transactions, commercial litigation, business/commercial transactions.
Chris Miao has numerous years of experiencing handling real estate transactions. In total, Chris has closed hundreds of transactions involving coops, condominiums, single family residences, multifamily residences, mixed used residential-commercial property, commercial space, and land lots. Chris takes pride in being able to offer all his clients the personal service that they deserve when purchasing or selling property. When working with Chris, clients and agents never have to deal with paralegals or legal assistants as Chris is the point of contact for all questions and concerns that the client may have.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science, graduating magna cum laude, in Legal Studies and Psychology from St. John’s University and his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to founding Lee & Miao, PLLC, Chris was an associate attorney at Brown & Whalen, P.C., a boutique complex commercial litigation law firm. While at Brown & Whalen, P.C., Mr. Miao’s litigation caseload included, among others, breach of contract actions, copyright and trademark infringement actions, will contests, legal malpractice actions and matrimonial actions.
In addition to being a practicing attorney, Chris is also an adjunct professor at CUNY Queens College and CUNY Baruch College where he teaches legal research, legal writing, immigration, computers in the law office, and construction contracts law. Chris is also a freelanced writer for legal publications and is published in the American Law Reports.
Chris Miao also works with numerous non-profits in the Asian American community and serves as the legal consultant for the Chinese Hotel Association of the United States.
Chris Miao is admitted to practice in New York State, the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York. Chris Miao is a member of the New York City Bar Association, Asian American Bar Association, Asian American Real Estate Association and Business Network International.
