Does my TREC license application expire after I submit it?
License applications are active for 12 months.
Once you submit your license application, you will have 12 months to complete the following:
180-hour pre-license course
Get fingerprinted and clear a background check
Pass the state exam
If you do not complete these requirements within 12 months, you must resubmit a new license application and pay the required fee again.
For this reason, we recommend that you hold off on submitting your license application until you are almost complete with the 180-hour pre-license course.
