Once you have passed the state licensing exam, you will need to take the remaining steps necessary before your license can be issued.
If you have not already done so, you will need to get your fingerprints taken with MorphoTrust’s IdentoGO. You will need to go in-person to one of IndentoGO’s locations for this to be completed. There is a fee of $42.80, paid directly to IndentoGO.
Your fingerprints will be used by the Washington State Patrol, as well as the FBI, to conduct a criminal background check. A report of the results will be electronically forwarded to the Washington State Department of Licensing for its review in considering your application.
PSI will send the results of your passing grade for the state exam to the Department within three days of you successfully completing both portions of the exam. Once this has been done, you will be able to submit your actual application online through your
SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account. You will then be able to apply for your broker license online. You will also need to pay the $146.25 license application fee, which can be paid online when making your application.
Be sure to make your application within 12 months of successfully passing the exam to avoid having to repeat it.
If you do not have a designated broker by the time you make your application, you will be issued an inactive license. Otherwise, you will receive an active license once your application is approved.
