It is possible to obtain your NYS real estate salesperson's license if you have a prior conviction. However, you will not be eligible to receive a license if you have been convicted of the following crimes and have not received an executive pardon, a certificate of relief, or a certificate of good conduct:
a felony
a sex offense, or a sexually violent offense
