Yes, you can apply for a South Carolina real estate salesperson license even if you live in another state. However, you must still comply with all the requirements of resident licenses.
If you already hold a license in another state, you will only need to pass the South Carolina law portion of the state real estate license and should also be exempt from the 60-hour unit I of the pre-license education requirement. However, you will need to fulfill the 30-hour Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles class before making your license application. You will also need to upload your certified license history from the other state where you are licensed. You will still need to complete an application for the exam and submit to a criminal background check.
