Do I need to take the SC state exam if I am licensed in another state?

If you hold an active real estate license from another state and are in good standing, or have held a license in good standing during the preceding six months, you will only need to take the South Carolina portion of the state real estate licensing exam. Holding a real estate license from another state does not enable you to receive exemption from the state portion of the exam.

You will, however, need to upload your certification of licensure from the state where you are currently licensed when making your exam application.
