What are the Wisconsin CE education requirements for active licenses?

You can request renewal of your application online through WI DSPS login. You can also submit a paper application by calling (608)266-2112 and asking for a paper application.

There is a $75 renewal fee to renew your Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson's license. The renewal fee can be paid using your credit card upon submitting your renewal application through the DSPS website.

You are required to renew your WI Real Estate Salesperson license every two years.

You must complete 18 hours of continuing education. This consists of 6, 3-hour courses.

You can apply for a continuing education waiver if you are a service member on active duty. You will be required to submit a letter explaining why you should be exempt from the CE requirements along with an Active Duty/Discharge Renewal Extension form.

Wisconsin Act 210 extends the license of a service member while they’re on active duty for 90-180 days since their date of discharge. You are required to submit an Active Duty/Discharge Renewal Extension form.

Spouses of active duty service members can also apply for an extension. You can request extension by submitting an Active Duty/Discharge Renewal Extension form.

If you have submitted an Active Duty/Discharge Renewal Extension form, the DSPS takes 5-7 working days to process your application.

A renewal fee is applicable to everyone except service members on active duty or recently discharged. A renewal fee is not required if you are submitting an Active Duty/Discharge Renewal Extension form
