What happens if my license has been inactive for more than 5 years?

If your Pennsylvania real estate license has been inactive for at least 5 years, you must complete the following in order to reactive your license:
1) Complete a Request for a Certificate of Exam Eligibility form and return it to the Commission. The Commission will review the form and send you instructions on how to register for the state licensing exam.
2) Retake and pass the state licensing exam.
3) Complete 14 hours of required continuing education, which must have been completed within the past 2 years.
4) Apply online through the PALS system to reactive your license.

Once your license is reactivated, you will have to take an additional 14 hours of continuing education to renew your license.
