What information is needed when I schedule my SC exam appointment?
When you schedule your appointment, you should be prepared to provide the following information:
Your first name, last name and middle initial exactly as it appears on your driver’s license or state-issued ID. Do not use shortened versions of your name, alternative versions, alternative spellings or nicknames.
Your email address. This is for contact purposes only and is sometimes the most effective way for the test center to contact you in case of an emergency closing of an exam center due to a weather event.
Your Social Security number. Your registration cannot be processed without it and it is used to identify you within the PSI system.
The best phone number to contact you. Just as with your email address, your phone number is required in case the test center needs to contact you due to an unexpected event, such as inclement weather, this is the number they will use to reach you.
Your mailing address.
Type of exam you are taking. You will also be asked if you have attempted the exam previously.
Eligibility information. You will need to register as a student. You can do so by going to http://www.psiexams.com. Then, follow the prompts to schedule your exam.
Your method of payment. Cost of the exam is $63 if you are taking both portions of the exam or $55 if you are only required to take one portion.
