Once you have completed the 60-hour pre-license course, you can take the salesperson licensing exam as long as it is within one year of your course completion date. You can continue working through the three required real estate practices courses.

Your pre-license course is only valid for one year. You will want to take and pass the exam before this time period is up. You also need to complete the entire licensing process within this year.

The Iowa real estate salesperson licensing exam fee is $95 made payable to the testing vendor PSI. The testing vendor accepts credit cards, money orders, company checks, or cashier checks. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. The licensing exam is non-transferable and non-refundable.
