How do I reinstate an expired VA real estate license?

To reinstate an expired real estate license, you must submit a Salesperson Activate / Transfer Application, either online or by mail and pay the required fee.
Please note, you must have completed the required continuing education credits before you can submit to reinstate your license.
If you submit for reinstatement after 30 days past your license expiration date, you will have to pay an additional $100 reinstatement fee.
If your license has been expired for more than one year, you cannot get the license reinstated. Instead, you will have to retake the Virginia pre-license course, retake and pass the state licensing exam, and apply for a new real estate license.
