How do I schedule my Florida real estate licensing exam?

Candidates are encouraged to review the candidate information booklet before making a reservation to take the state exam. You will need to receive authorization from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation before you will be able to schedule your exam.

Once a licensee's application has been approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission, test proctor Pearson VUE will be notified and will send you an official authorization letter or email. You will then be eligible to reserve an exam date and time. You may schedule online or by calling Pearson VUE customer service at 888-204-6289.

Pearson VUE offers the exam at traditional test centers as well as a remotely proctored online exam. Because there are two options for taking the state exam, you may receive two separate emails for test authorization from Pearson VUE. You should only schedule your exam for the delivery method you prefer.

When making your exam reservation, be sure to use your legal name as it appears on your photo ID. Exam appointments can be reserved up to one calendar day prior to the day you wish to test.

You can register as far in advance as you like. With reservations on a first come, first served basis, you may find it helpful to schedule you exam no sooner than five business days out from the day you make your appointment.

Once you have scheduled your exam, you will receive a confirmation email. Exam reservations can be canceled or changed on Pearson VUE's website. You will need to have the following when making a reservation: your authorization notice and candidate ID number (also known as FLREAPP ID), your full contact information, the name of the exam you are scheduling, the name of the test center and a credit card number, check or voucher for payment of the $36.75 exam fee.
