What happens if I miss my exam due to illness?

You may be excused from your exam if you were absent and unable to provide a two day notice due to your illness, illness of an immediate family member, death in the immediate family, disabling traffic accident, court appearance or jury duty, or military duty. If you are seeking an excused absence, you will need to provide written verification and supporting documentation to Pearson VUE no later than four days following your missed exam time. Documentation of medical absences must include the medical practitioner’s original signature. Stamped signatures will not be allowed.

If you do not show up for your exam and your absence is unexcused, you will need to pay your exam fee in full and may possibly need to reapply for license with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
