How many questions are on the VA state licensing exam?
There are 80 questions on the national portion of the Virginia state licensing exam, and 40 questions on the state portion (120 questions in total). You must answer at least 56 questions correctly on the national portion to pass, and at least 30 questions correctly on the state portion. You must pass both the national and state portions in order to pass the overall exam. There is a 105-minute time-limit for the national portion and a 45-minute time-limit for the state portion (150 minutes in total).
