I just passed my MI real estate exam, now what?

If your sponsoring broker confirmed your employment through MiPLUS at least 48 business hours prior to your exam date, you will receive a photo pocket license at the PSI testing center right after you pass the state exam. This will allow you to start work immediately as a Michigan real estate salesperson.
Your exam information is typically imported into your MiPLUS account within 48 business hours after passing the exam. Once LARA receives your passing score, and your broker sponsorship is confirmed, a state-issued paper wall license and pocket card will be mailed to your sponsoring broker's main office.

If you have a sponsoring broker but your employment was not confirmed before your state exam pass date, your broker must submit an Employing Broker Notification form. Once the form is received and processed by LARA, a photo pocket license, state-issued paper wall license, and pocket card will be mailed to your sponsoring broker.

Please note, you must pass the state licensing exam and have a Michigan employing broker within one year of applying for your license. Otherwise, you must resubmit a new license application and retake the state licensing exam.
