What documents should I submit if I have a prior conviction?

If you have ever been convicted of a felony, misdemeanor, or pled guilty or nolo contendere, you must submit the following supporting documentation with your license application:
1) The conviction summary information provided by the State police.
2) Certified copies of court documents.
3) A letter from your probation officer, dated within 90 days, indicating your current probationary status.
4) Any police incident reports.
5) Employment history (resume).
6) A detailed description of the circumstances surrounding the conviction, the basis for the conviction, and the disposition of the conviction.
7) A signed and dated reference letter from your employing broker, on the company letterhead, indicating that the broker is aware of all convictions and is willing to hire you.
8) Two signed and dated character references from individuals who are not related to or residing with you.

The Real Estate Commission will use these supporting documents to review your case and determine if they will approve or deny your license application.
