What happens if I fail the PA state licensing exam?
If you do not pass the Pennsylvania state licensing exam, you must reschedule another attempt with PSI. You can take the state exam as many times as needed until you pass. Please note that you cannot retake the exam on the same day in which you tested unsuccessfully.
You have the option to reschedule your exam online, by mail, fax, email, or phone. The quickest method is online through PSI's online registration system. Once you register online with PSI, you will be given available exam dates. You simply have to select your exam date, time, and location, and pay the $49 exam fee using a credit card.
If you wish to register for the exam by mail, please allow up to 2 weeks to process your registration. Once your registration is complete, you can call PSI to schedule your new exam date.
You can fax your exam registration to (702)932-2666 or email to pareapp@psionline.com. PSI will need up to 4 business days to process your registration using either of these two methods. Once your registration is complete, you must call PSI to schedule your new exam date.
Finally, you can call PSI at (800)733-9267 and arrange a new exam date, and pay the exam fee using a credit card.

The Pennsylvania real estate salesperson licensing exam consists of a national portion and a state portion. You must answer at least 60 out of the 80 questions correctly on the national portion in order to pass, and at least 23 out of the 30 questions correctly on the state portion.

Calculators will not be provided by PSI. You are allowed to bring a calculator to the exam; however, only non-programmable calculators that are silent, battery-operated, do not have paper tape printing capabilities, and do not have a keyboard will be allowed in the exam room.
