How do I pay for the State licensing exam?

The state licensing exam costs $54 per attempt, which is paid directly to Pearson VUE.

You can pay the exam fee by credit card, debit card, voucher, or electronic check.

If you choose to pay the exam fee using an electronic check, you must have a personal checking account. Pearson VUE will also need the following information from you:

  • Bank name
  • Account number
  • Routing number
  • Social Security number, State ID number, or driver’s license number
  • Name and address on the account

Pearson VUE will use this information to request payment from your bank.

Please note that if you opt to pay the exam fee by electronic check, you must register at least five days before your desired exam date to allow enough time for the electronic check to be processed.

Vouchers are available to pay for the exam fee. You can purchase vouchers online using a credit card. Once you obtain your voucher, you can redeem the voucher as payment when you schedule your exam. You simply have to select ‘voucher’ as the payment method and enter in your voucher number.

All vouchers are non-refundable and expire 12 months from the date they are purchased.
