What documents are required for a name change on a MO license?

According to a Missouri Real Estate Commission directive in 6-2018, a real estate licensee that is requesting a name change on their license must provide one of the following documents before the request is granted:

· A legible copy of the real estate license applicant's driver's license or Social Security card.

· A legible copy of the real estate license applicant's marriage license or divorce decree.

· A legible copy of adoption paperwork.

· A legible copy of the real estate license applicant's court documents evidencing name change.

According to MREC Board Rule CSR 2250-4.020(4), a licensee must notify the Missouri Real Estate Commission within 10 days in the event of a name change or home address change. Information is available on the Missouri Real Estate Commission’s website.
